COD Season 4 welcomes significant updates concerning weapons and their balancing. These alterations are integral to the game’s ongoing evolution and enhance the overall gaming experience.
In the new weapons category, three additions are notable. The Tempus Razor Back assault rifle, part of the Tempus Armament collection, features a bullpup design with frame-vibration control for a smooth full-auto 5.56 weapon. It can be unlocked in Battle Pass Sector D13.

The ISO 45, a submachine gun (SMG) with a high fire rate and stopping power of .45 Auto rounds, makes room clearing more efficient. Players can unlock it in Battle Pass Sector D19. The final addition is the Tonfa, a melee weapon made from hard-polymer. It delivers blunt trauma without the risk of dulling or breaking and can be unlocked via the Assault on Vondel Event.
General changes include an update to shotguns where pellets now use damage priority. If a target is hit with more than four pellets, the highest damage among those hit will be utilized. The lunge range for fist and gunbutt attacks has been reduced, while gunbutt damage has decreased in Warzone.
The weapon balancing changes aim to make the Time to Kill feel slower, more consistent, and more reactable at every engagement distance. The changes to Player Health and the application of Armor Damage result in a substantial shift in most weapons’ effectiveness. The term “Armor Damage” is retired, and any future Warzone-specific changes will be indicated as such.

Several Battle Rifles, Shotguns, and Submachine Guns have seen modifications in terms of damage, multipliers, and bullets to kill. For example, the Cronen Squall battle rifle has increased bullets to kill in full-auto mode and altered maximum and minimum damage in Warzone. Similarly, the Bryson 800 and 890 shotguns have decreased minimum damage in Warzone but increased head, neck, upper torso, arm, and leg multipliers.
In the Submachine Guns category, the Fennec 45 has decreased bullets to kill in Warzone.
New attachments have also been added, such as the Akimbo FTAC Siege, which can be unlocked through an in-game challenge. The KSTV-17 Barrel has been added to the Kastov-74u progression, replacing the 5.45 Tracer at Level 9. Players who have progressed beyond this level will have it retroactively granted to their account following the launch of Season 4.
Bug fixes include the resolution of an issue with the SZ Aggressor-IR Optic where its ADS penalty was higher than intended, an issue with 12-Gauge Dragon’s Breath residual damage being counted as a headshot for scoring, and an issue causing Death Effects to intermittently occur on incorrect bodies, among others.
